Rename my new koi

Hubby does not like name of 徐大姐，徐二姐。。。 so I renamed them, give 龙袍 some good time.. 徐大姐 is promoted to 徐贵妃。 徐二姐 to 徐妃子

Got two more koi from Tse koi (San Jose)

As Valentine's gift, my hubby brought me two more koi today. We drove 2 hrs to San Jose... 9 - 9 1/2 inch long... Showa and Sanke..
This is a showa 9 1/2 inch ($75) I think it will be a great showa.. Since it came from Tse (徐)? I am going to call it 徐大姐。


This is more looks like a Sanke to me.. 9 inch. $40. It would be better if red can be more even around tail area... but for the price, it looks good. I named it 徐二姐

Today I did some of measurement

龙袍 is 10 1/2 inch
Geisha: 9 1/2 inch
yellow butterfly is 9 inch.

I am starting PP (POTASSIUM PERMANGANATE)treatment weekly. It is suppose to be 1 1/2 teaspoon.. but my pond color always turned to brownish yellow very quickly, so I always did another 2 more teaspoon.
after 2 hrs, add 1 ~2 teaspoon of sodium thiosolfate.
1/2 hrs later, add 1 - 1.5 quarter of Hydrogen Peroxide ..

龙袍 seems little stressed by this treatment...
